Destiny has a DIPG tumor. In the world of 120 possible brain tumor diagnoses, DIPG is the one that you are hoping against. It’s the diagnosis where the doctor says you will lose your child…and it will happen soon. The average survival time is 9-10 months. Destiny was diagnosed 20 months ago.
This week, Destiny’s mom took her into the hospital for some signs she had noticed and wanted to wish were not there. An MRI confirmed the fear...there is nothing left to do. Destiny is home with her mom and her brother. They are soaking up every bit of life they can. They are laughing and loving and waiting.

This is heartbreaking. I will keep this family in my thoughts.

I also have a blog and I also share my cancer journey in it as well. I have Stage IV colorectal cancer and am on maintenance chemo as surgery cannot be done. I hope you will take the time to read my blog when you can and we are able to become friends and support one another!!
