September's Coming

September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. Get ready for many posts filled with startling statistics and frightening facts. Here are a few ways you can help support the cause.

Go Gold!

The childhood cancer ribbon color is gold and you will hear a lot about "going gold" in September. Wear gold to remind you of the children who face a cancer diagnosis and tell others why you wear gold.

Tell About Til
Tillery's story has reached many people and we are constantly meeting people who follow her story. Tillery is a success story in the childhood cancer world and if you have followed her story, I think you will agree that "success" should be much more than 13 surgeries, 5 ambulance rides, 1 medical flight, hundreds of pokes, weekly chemotherapy, developmental delays and only a stable tumor 2 years later. We want to hear the word "remission" and it's gonna take a lot of research funds to find a way to make that happen. If sharing our side-pony cutie will touch hearts and open wallets, let's do it!

Get Moving!
We are joining Alex's Lemonade Stand's movement Alex's Million Miles. There goal is to have people across the country running, walking, and cycling a million miles in honor of childhood cancer fighters. We have a team for The TIL Foundation that you can join and dedicate your miles in September to childhood cancer awareness. Print a bib from their website to wear when you are out to let people know you are moving for Tillery! To join our team or make a donation, click here.

Time to Trot

Also remember, the 2nd Annual Trot for Tillery is scheduled on October 8th in Sylacauga, AL. We had a great turnout last year but were missing a super special little girl who will not only be at the Trot but will be Trotting along with us! If Tillery can do it, so can you!! If you can't get to Sylacauga, you can sign up to do a virtual 5k that day to support us or make a donation on the registration link. Register for the Trot for Tillery here. Funds raised at the Trot for Tillery help support our family.

Be thinking of any other ways you would like to help raise awareness or research funding for childhood cancer. September is just around the corner and we are ready to be heard!
